Job Summary
Entry-level Salesperson in automotive aftermarket focusing on DIY customers. Responsibilities include providing an excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls, achieving personal and store sales goals, delivering DIY services such as battery installation and wiper installations, maintaining inventory and store standards, and performing general stocking and delivery tasks. Requires basic automotive knowledge, parts knowledge, and familiarity with store systems; strong English communication (Spanish a plus); ability to work various days/hours; 2-3 years of successful sales experience in retail is preferred. Fleet safety certification is preferred. This role may be part-time or full-time and involves potential physical duties including lifting and delivering parts as needed.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Fleet safety certification preferred
- Ability to use delivery board system
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Basic automotive system knowledge and basic part knowledge
- Reading and interpreting safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs
- Keeping inventory accurate including back stock, cycle counts, and truck put away
- Strong customer service skills and ability to build relationships
- Operate POS and Parts lookup systems
- Ability to safely deliver parts to customers as needed
- Physical ability to lift up to 50-100 pounds occasionally
