Job Summary
Entry level Salesperson role focused on delivering excellent DIY customer service and achieving sales goals. Responsibilities include providing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installs), maintaining store product and inventory standards, driving sales with in-person and phone conversations, and handling inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock). Requires basic automotive parts knowledge, store systems familiarity, and ability to work a varied schedule including days, evenings, and weekends. Fluent English required (Spanish a plus); strong communication and customer relationship skills are essential. Fleet safety certification is preferred. The role involves operating POS and parts lookup systems, testing/diagnostic equipment for DIY service, and ensuring safety and operational procedures are followed. Achieving personal and store sales goals, delivering parts to customers, and maintaining store cleanliness are also key elements.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Basic math accuracy and ability to use delivery board system
- Knowledge of auto parts, DIY services (battery installation, wiper installs)
- Ability to read documents such as safety rules and parts catalogs
- Ability to build relationships with customers, peers, and management
