Job Summary
Salesperson role supporting DIY customers with parts and services. Drive personal sales to meet store goals, provide DIY services such as battery installation and testing, wiper installs, and ensure inventory and operational standards. Responsibilities include inventory processes (truck put away, cycle counts, back stock), general stocking and store cleanliness, safely delivering parts as needed, operating POS and parts lookup systems, and using basic math for transactions. Essential skills include English communication (Spanish a plus), ability to locate and stock parts, familiarity with testing/diagnostic equipment for DIY service, and the capacity to work a varied schedule including weekends. Requires 2-3 years of sales experience in a retail environment and basic automotive knowledge along with safety and inventory-management capabilities.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- basic driving/navigation ability
- ability to use delivery board system
- proficiency in English; Spanish a plus
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- ability to perform basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide) in all units of measure
- ability to work a flexible schedule including days, evenings, and weekends
- familiarity with inventory systems and store equipment
- knowledge of store systems and basic automotive system knowledge
- basic problem solving and customer-service oriented
