Job Summary
Salesperson role focusing on DIY customers with emphasis on delivering a strong selling experience and providing DIY services (battery installation, testing, wiper installations). Responsibilities include meeting personal and store sales goals, maintaining store inventory and operations, delivering parts to customers, and performing basic customer interactions both in-store and over the phone. Requires knowledge of store systems, basic automotive knowledge, parts knowledge, and ability to source from stores, hubs, and external suppliers. Strong communication, inventory management, safety awareness, and ability to work varied shifts are essential.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
- Fleet safety certification preferred
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Ability to use delivery board system
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Ability to perform battery installation, testing, and wiper installs
- Knowledge of inventory processes including cycle counts and stock replenishment
- Basic math skills and ability to handle parts lookup systems
- English proficiency (Spanish a plus)
