Job Summary
Entry-level sales role focused on delivering a strong DIY customer experience and meeting sales/service goals. Responsibilities include providing excellent selling experiences for DIY customers in-store and over the phone, achieving personal sales targets, supporting DIY services (e.g., battery installation, wiper installs), maintaining store product and operational standards, handling inventory processes (cycle counts, back stock, truck put away), and assisting with general store duties such as cleaning and stocking. Essential skills include effective communication, basic math, ability to work a flexible schedule including weekends/evenings, ability to use inventory and POS systems, and basic automotive parts knowledge. Fleet safety certification is preferred. Knowledge of inventory systems, ability to source parts from multiple channels, and proficiency in navigating and locating parts are valued.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- ability to work a variety of days, evenings, and weekends
- basic math and numeracy
- ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs
- English communication skills (Spanish a plus)
- experience operating inventory and POS systems
- customer-facing selling experience
- basic automotive knowledge and parts familiarity
- capacity to safely handle and deliver parts as needed
