Job Summary
Salesperson delivering a hands-on DIY-focused sales role with emphasis on customer service and parts knowledge. Responsibilities include providing excellent selling experiences for DIY customers in-store and over the phone, achieving personal and store sales goals, performing DIY services (battery installations, wiper installations, etc.), maintaining inventory and operational standards, handling stock and deliveries, and ensuring safety and accuracy through inventory processes and diagnostic tools. Required skills include English proficiency (Spanish a plus), strong communication, ability to work varied shifts including weekends/evenings, basic automotive systems and parts knowledge, and familiarity with POS/inventory systems. Prior 2-3 years of retail sales experience and comfort with driving and navigating to support parts delivery are preferred.
Required Qualifications
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- Basic driving and navigation ability
- Basic automotive system knowledge and basic parts knowledge
- Ability to source from stores, hubs, pdq, and external suppliers
- Speak and write English (Spanish a plus)
- Read and interpret safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math (add, subtract, multiply, divide)
- Proficiency with inventory systems and store equipment
- Proficient in operating POS and Parts lookup systems
- Ability to safely deliver parts to customers
