Job Summary
Provide excellent selling experience for DIY customer visits and phone calls while achieving personal and store sales goals. Deliver DIY services including battery installation, testing, and wiper installs, and maintain store product and operational standards. Manage inventory processes such as truck put away, shoot outs, and cycle counts. Safely deliver parts to customers and ensure store cleanliness, including floors, bathrooms, and parking lot areas. Maintain general stocking of trucks and back stock. This role requires basic automotive system knowledge, strong communication skills, and the ability to work evenings and weekends. Advance Auto Parts is a leading automotive aftermarket parts provider serving both professional installers and do-it-yourself customers.
Required Qualifications

- Operating POS and Parts lookup systems
- Expert at testing and diagnostic equipment for DIY service
- Speak and write English
- Communicate effectively and build strong relationships with customers, peers and management
- Read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, parts catalogs, and procedure manuals
- Use basic math accurately: add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals
- Ability to work an assortment of days, evenings, and weekends as needed
- 2-3 years of successful sales experience in a diverse retail environment, providing superior customer experiences
