Salesforce Developer Lead

Job Summary
Approve technical designs for Salesforce platform solutions, review agile estimates, and identify risks with mitigating approaches. Own development standards for UI/UX and integration, then assign, monitor, and review task progress and project timelines. Build and distribute workload equitably while mentoring new talent on global IT knowledge and skills. Lead large projects, manage small to medium budgets, and supervise team functional capabilities within the broader organization. Collaborate with business partners to develop strategies and execute plans, solving complex problems and taking lead roles on major initiatives.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems (IS), or another relevant academic discipline
- Eight or more years of professional IT and IS experience
- A minimum of three years of project leadership experience
- A minimum of three years of management experience
- Seven or more years of Salesforce implementation experience
- Experience with Salesforce configuration, including workflows, validation rules, and security controls
- Experience defining business requirements, writing user stories, and providing detailed Salesforce system and functional designs
- Expert level understanding of the Salesforce product suite
- Experience defining the system architecture landscape, delivering comprehensive solutions, and integrating Salesforce with different business systems and integration tools
- An advanced understanding of the Salesforce.com data model
- A proficient understanding of fundamental technologies used to support assigned business function
- A practical understanding of how technology solves identified business problems
- Knowledge of how current trends and technology may be used to support business partners
- A core understanding of and ability to connect the needs of multiple Herman Miller functional areas
- Awareness of the functional capabilities of your team
- A broad understanding of cross-functional processes
- An understanding of the tools available to administer the required processes of managing a team
- A demonstrated ability to communicate information, ideas, procedures, and processes in a logical sequence and at an appropriate level
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate complex ideas in easy to understand business terms to senior leaders
- Strong collaboration and partnering skills with the proven ability to negotiate and influence with or without formal authority
- The ability to thrive in a dynamic and changing environment
- The ability to perform all essential job functions of the position with or without accommodations
