Job Summary
Generate revenue through weddings, social events, and related food, beverage, and guest room sales by identifying new business opportunities, conducting site tours, and preparing proposals and contracts. Respond promptly to inquiries, actively solicit new business through calls and networking, and schedule client appointments including property tours and tastings. Develop banquet food and beverage sales, prepare sales documents like BEOs and contracts, and collaborate with internal departments to ensure seamless event execution. Maintain active engagement on social media platforms and participate in marketing initiatives to meet budgeted revenue goals.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum of 3 years of sales experience in weddings, events, hospitality, catering, hotel sales, or a related field
- Proven track record of meeting or exceeding sales goals in a client-facing environment
- Strong negotiation, contract management, and closing skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
- Exceptional organizational, time management, problem-solving, and multitasking abilities
- Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
- Must be able to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and occasional holidays based on business and event needs
Desired Qualifications
- A degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hospitality Management, or a related field
- Prior wedding and/or event planning, coordination, or management experience
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, Outlook email, spreadsheets, CRM platforms, and event management software
- Experience with Opera or other hospitality sales/property management systems
- Knowledge of current wedding and event industry trends, best practices, and customer expectations
- Familiarity with digital marketing and social media platforms to support sales and promotional initiatives
