Job Summary
Sales Training Manager responsible for designing and delivering training programs for internal and external wholesalers distributing investment products through financial advisors and institutions. Partners with Sales Leadership, Product Marketing, and Distribution Enablement to support onboarding, product launches, market-driven education, and ongoing skill development. Key duties include developing a comprehensive wholesaling training strategy, designing scalable onboarding and product-education programs, enabling territory management and advisor engagement, and coaching managers on performance development. Requires 5–10+ years in financial services sales or sales training, experience with investment products, strong facilitation and presentation skills, and willingness to travel (approximately 33–50%). Hybrid work arrangement across Toronto, Vancouver, and Montreal with relocation-eligible opportunities at Manulife/John Hancock.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of experience in financial services sales, distribution, or sales training
- Demonstrated experience with investment products (e.g., mutual funds, ETFs, SMAs, alternatives, model portfolios)
- Experience supporting or partnering with a wholesaling or distribution organization
- Strong facilitation, presentation, and communication skills across diverse audiences
- Ability and willingness to travel as needed (approximately 33–50%)
- CRM and enablement tools familiarity (e.g., Salesforce, Seismic, ZoomInfo, LinkedIn Navigator)
- Ability to design scalable training programs and onboard both internal and external wholesalers
- Collaborative cross-functional partnering with Sales Leadership, Product Marketing, Investments, and Portfolio Management
