Sales: Territory Sales Manager Eastern US (Biotech)

Job Summary

Cultivate existing and prospective customers to maximize sales, strengthen brand presence, and increase market share across a geographically dispersed territory. Develop and manage customer accounts, sales plans, forecasts, budgets, CRM activities, and sales opportunities while vigorously advocating for and defending customer interests. Champion the product portfolio through continuous product knowledge development and effective customer application, contributing to new product development by conducting market research and competitive intelligence. Collaborate with sales, marketing, technical, and operations personnel to execute marketing and promotional programs and provide product division forecasts to management. Travel up to 40% to visit customers, attend trade shows, and lead breakout teams as needed.

  • Five or more years of related experience in sales, marketing, business management, and customer service with a demonstrated record of success, preferably managing a multi-state sales territory
  • Bachelor's degree in biology, microbiology, animal science, business, marketing, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Ability to travel up to 40% as needed to visit customers and prospects and attend domestic and international trade shows
