Sales Territory Manager - Southwest

Job Summary
Drive order intake and revenue growth within your assigned territory by meeting annual KPI targets and executing strategic sales plans using SPIN Selling, Miller Heiman, and Sandler methodologies. Engage directly with end users, OEMs, and channel partners to identify opportunities, manage the full sales cycle, and close business across automatic, semi-automatic, checkweigher, and tray line product lines. Utilize Salesforce for pipeline management and forecasting, while collaborating cross-functionally with engineering and project teams to deliver technical solutions. Represent Yamato at trade shows and industry events to support lead generation and brand awareness. Requires 51% domestic and possible international travel, including weekend trips, with a valid driver's license and passport.
Required Qualifications
- Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States.
- Visa sponsorship is not available for this role.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience required.
- 5–10 years of sales experience, preferably in capital equipment, packaging machinery, or a related industry.
- Proven ability to manage complex sales cycles and close business.
- Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
- Demonstrated ability to build relationships and influence decision-makers.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
- Valid driver's license and ability to be insured.
- Valid passport required for international travel.
- Ability to travel a minimum of 51% with occasional international travel required.
- Ability to handle short periods of time in cold, damp or warm plan environments during customer/prospect visits.
- Ability to climb ladders and mezzanines averaging 15 feet in height.
- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with cross-functional teams.
- Must be available for domestic and possible international travel.
- Some weekend travel is required.
Desired Qualifications
- Living in territory is preferred.
- Experience with Salesforce (or similar CRM) preferred.
- Experience with Epicor (or similar ERP) preferred.
