Job Summary
Lead an enterprise sales team focused on State & Local Government to promote adoption of Esri GIS technology. Responsibilities include mentoring and coaching a virtual team through all stages of the sales process, developing location-based growth strategies, building relationships with executive stakeholders, and presenting at trade shows, workshops, and seminars. The role requires expert knowledge of ArcGIS and GIS technology, ability to articulate value to large organizations, and strong negotiation and storytelling skills to close opportunities while navigating budgeting and procurement cycles. Travel up to 50% to serve customers domestically and internationally. Must have a Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or related field; visa sponsorship is not available.
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of enterprise sales and/or relevant consulting or program management experience
- 3+ years of experience mentoring, motivating, and coaching on a team
- Able to build compelling account growth strategies
- Advanced knowledge of State and Local Government and GIS
- Deep understanding of GIS and Esri technology
- Expert visual storyteller and negotiator across all levels of an organization
- Knowledge of the fiscal year, budgeting, and procurement cycles
- Ability to travel domestically or internationally up to 50%
- Bachelor’s degree in GIS, business administration, or a related field
