Job Summary
Sales Specialist – Technical Sales Support at ABB Canada located in Pointe-Claire is responsible for actively driving sales growth by managing customer opportunities, developing technical solutions, and converting leads into orders. The role combines commercial ownership with technical expertise, including preparing and owning technical and commercial proposals, interpreting drawings and specifications, collaborating with engineering and product teams, and supporting order management from quotation to delivery. The candidate will engage with customers, participate in meetings and presentations, and work cross-functionally with sales, engineering, supply chain, and operations to optimize pricing strategies and quotation processes. Requires 5-8 years of technical sales or sales support experience in industrial/manufacturing, strong French-English bilingual communication, and demonstrated ability to build relationships, negotiate, and manage multiple opportunities; familiarity with the metal industry is a plus.
Required Qualifications
- College diploma or university degree in engineering, business, or a related field
- 5-8 years of experience in technical sales, inside sales, or sales support in an industrial or manufacturing environment
- Bilingual French and English is a must
- Experience working in the metal industry is considered a strong asset
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills
- Customer-focused with strong relationship-building abilities
- Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple opportunities
