Job Summary
Sales Specialist responsible for generating opportunities and selling Red Hat Open Hybrid Cloud portfolio for enterprise customers in Japan, collaborating with regional account teams to meet growth targets, and serving as an evangelist by presenting Red Hat technology to audiences from CIOs to user groups at events and forums. The role requires strong sales, communication, and interpersonal skills, a deep understanding of hybrid cloud technologies (containers, Kubernetes, virtualization, automation, orchestration, API integration), and the ability to develop compelling narratives aligned with customer business goals. Collaboration with a broad sales team to drive cloud and infrastructure opportunities, while building trusted relationships with customers’ key decision-makers and experts, and increasing awareness of Red Hat Open Hybrid Cloud through community events and cross-functional engagement. The position is based in Tokyo, Japan.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years experience in solution sales in an enterprise context
- experience in enterprise middleware and software development sales
- strong communication and technical skills to understand customer business goals and articulate stories
- passion for open source technologies
- ability to collaborate across global and cross-functional teams
- ability to understand customer goals and craft persuasive messaging for executives and specialists
- familiarity with hybrid cloud, public/private cloud, containers, orchestration, virtualization, API integration, DevOps, SDLC, Agile
- ability to build trust with key decision-makers and subject-matter experts
