Job Summary
Senior Sales Associate at Petco responsible for delivering compassionate, knowledgeable customer service and mentorship on the sales floor. Responsibilities include greeting customers, educating them on pet products and promotions, assisting with merchandise replenishment and inventory, processing sales and returns, supporting store operations and leadership, mentoring new and junior associates, maintaining a clean and welcoming Pet Care Center environment, and ensuring safety standards for animals. Must thrive in a fast-paced retail setting, demonstrate strong selling behaviors, and contribute to achieving store goals while providing a positive experience for pets and their owners.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of retail experience preferred
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds
- Flexible availability including evenings, weekends, and holidays
- Experience handling cash and POS transactions
