Job Summary
As a Sales Specialist in Japan (Tokyo, Hybrid work), you will lead strategic partnerships with key accounts and major distributors, develop and execute annual plans to grow sell-out and in-store share, and drive high-quality joint business planning (JBP) and execution to outperform competitors. You will craft value-driven selling stories aligned with customer priorities, map customer decisions, set detailed annual contact plans, monitor KPI targets (distribution, display quality, pricing, and total brand performance), and contribute to company-wide initiatives. You will engage cross-functionally, leveraging insights, data, and market knowledge (including English/Japanese communication) to deliver sustainable growth and leadership in-store execution, while building and mentoring teams to sustain long-term business success.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in consumer goods industry departments 3-5 years
- English/Japanese business communication ability (TOEIC 650+)
- Ability to lead strategic partnerships with key accounts and wholesalers
- Experience with JBP and sales planning
- Strong collaboration, problem-solving, strategic relationship-building skills
- Knowledge of distributors, retailers, and trade marketing fundamentals
