Job Summary
Sales Specialist for Tecan Detection in the Nordics (Stockholm) responsible for managing and growing Detection sales within the assigned territory. You will develop know-how in customer applications, instrument capabilities, user software, and provide demonstrations, presentations, and customer training. From prospecting to closing deals, you will ensure customer satisfaction and contribute to sustainable and ethical business growth. Responsibilities include managing sales performance, guiding the full sales process (prospecting to revenue recognition), building a strong pipeline through customer visits and events, delivering technical and consultative sales support, positioning the Detection portfolio (microplate readers, washers, imaging, and related solutions), coordinating demonstrations and product presentations, aligning solutions with customer needs, preparing quotations and tender responses, maintaining accurate CRM updates, providing regional market intelligence, building relationships with key opinion leaders and stakeholders, supporting installation and training, collaborating across functions, identifying cross-selling opportunities, and ensuring adherence to values, code of conduct, and standards. Must have a Life Sciences/Engineering/Business degree (or equivalent experience) with 2–3 years in sales or related roles, strong customer-facing experience, CRM proficiency, and fluency in Swedish and English. Nice-to-have: advanced degree and broader Tecan solutions experience; strong communication and teamwork traits.
Required Qualifications
- Degree in Life Sciences, Biomedical Sciences, Engineering, Business, or equivalent professional experience in a relevant commercial or technical role
- 2–3 years of professional experience in sales, business development, application support, or product specialist roles within life sciences, diagnostics, laboratory instrumentation, or a related field
- Experience in customer-facing activities, including customer visits, presentations, demonstrations, seminars, and follow-up of commercial opportunities
- Ability to understand customer workflows and translate technical requirements into suitable solutions
- Experience using CRM systems to manage opportunities, pipeline, forecast, and customer activities
- Excellent communication and presentation skills in Swedish and English
- Basic knowledge of detection technologies and applications such as absorbance, fluorescence, luminescence, ELISA, cell-based assays, and microplate-based workflows
- Ability to present technical solutions, support customer demonstrations, and explain product benefits in a consultative sales context
- Confident use of CRM systems and standard Microsoft Office tools
