Blood Donor Technician at Ochsner Health responsible for donor interviews, blood collection, donor health screening, data entry, and adherence to AABB and FDA standards, with a variable shift schedule in a hospital donor center.
Required Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent
- No prior work experience required
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification from the American Heart Association
- Computer skills and data entry ability; proficiency with Windows applications
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to present information clearly and professionally
- Analytical and problem solving skills
- Customer service skills
- Must be able to travel between facilities
- Knowledge of AABB Standards and FDA Regulations as they relate to donor screening and collection
