Job Summary
Manage an assigned territory by calling on regular and prospective customers to solicit orders, compile lists of leads, and prepare for each call with customer history and credit information. Execute daily, weekly, and monthly objectives to maximize sales results through persuasive presentations, overcoming objections, and demonstrating products using samples or catalogs. Apply in-store merchandising principles to influence accounts on shelf management, cold box, and floor display guidelines while ensuring products are properly rotated, cleaned, and stocked. Travel throughout the territory using a reliable vehicle to visit retail locations, write orders, design displays, and organize on-site promotions. Adhere to safety policies and professional dress standards while performing physically demanding tasks involving lifting up to 40 pounds and using pallet jacks.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or General Education Degree (GED)
- Must be 21 years of age
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must have good driving record
- Must have proof of auto insurance (SR-22 is not acceptable)
- Must have own means of reliable transportation
- Must be self-motivated
- Must be a self-starter
- Must be able to work with very little direct supervision
- Must be highly organized
- Must have strong ability to work quickly and accurately while handling competing priorities
- Must be able to use pallet jacks and hand carts
- Must be able to frequently lift and/or move 10-40 pounds
- Must be able to occasionally move/push or pull up to 250 pounds
- Must be able to regularly stand, walk, lift product floor to waist, shoulder to overhead
- Must be able to use hands to finger, handle, or feel objects tools or controls
- Must be able to reach with hands and arms
- Must be able to talk or hear
- Must be able to occasionally sit, climb, or balance, stoop, kneel, or crouch
- Must adhere to company's professional dress and appearance policy
Desired Qualifications
