Job Summary
Sales Representative in Wholesale Hardware/Building Materials Distribution with field-based, on-the-road duties in Drogheda, Cork, and Kildare. Responsible for growing an existing customer base and identifying new business, delivering on agreed sales targets, presenting and selling building materials, managing a structured call plan, conducting site visits and product demonstrations, and maintaining CRM records. Requires 2–5+ years in field sales within builders’ merchants/construction sectors, strong relationship-building and negotiation skills, independent work style, and a valid driver’s licence. Strong emphasis on developing long-term customer relationships, market awareness, and pipeline generation.
Required Qualifications
- 2–5+ years’ experience in field sales
- Strong relationship builder with a commercial mindset
- Self-motivated and able to work independently
- Proven ability to achieve sales targets
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Organised with good territory and time management
- Full clean driver’s licence
