Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative at Spectrum responsible for acquiring new residential customers through face-to-face interactions, conducting needs analyses, and presenting proposals to showcase Spectrum’s high-speed data, mobile, landline, and video services. The role emphasizes traveling door-to-door across assigned territories, documenting sales activities, meeting monthly targets, responding to competitive activities, and contributing to customer satisfaction. The position involves 90% outdoor work, limited time in an office, and requires flexibility to work evenings and weekends, with opportunities for base pay plus incentives that can total over $100,000 annually. Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- Ability to read, write, speak and understand English
- Engaging interpersonal skills
- Ability to listen, formulate needs based sales strategies, and articulate pitches
- A passion to succeed and strong personal drive to sell to prospective customers
- Ability to travel (including during inclement weather) to and from assigned territories and company facilities
- Familiarity with computer operating systems and software applications as well as consumer and commercial communication devices (e.g., PDAs, smartphones, routers, modems, set-top converters, and wireless devices)
- Must be able to work evenings and weekends, and as business needs dictate to maximize prospective customer contact
- Ability to work independently with little or no supervision
- A valid driver’s license, car insurance, a satisfactory driving record, and the use of a reliable personal vehicle
