Job Summary
Sales Representative for Specialty Retail supporting FOODMatch’s Mediterranean specialty foods—responsible for managing designated territory accounts and developing new accounts within Specialty Retail. Focus areas include maximizing existing business, introducing customers to new products and marketing campaigns, presenting growth plans, coordinating distributor collaborations, providing trainings and rider/withs with distributor reps, managing sample spend, developing sell sheets for distributors, maintaining expert level product knowledge, and coordinating regional/national food shows. Requires a Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, 3+ years of sales experience, established relationships in the specialty food sales field, proven sales and business development success, strong communication and interpersonal skills, proactive and strategic mindset, initiative, urgency, and accountability. Travel up to 75% across the North Los Angeles to Santa Barbara territory. FULL-TIME role based in Los Angeles, CA with remote work option.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
- 3+ years of experience in sales
- Existing relationships within the specialty food sales field in the region
- Track record of success in identifying, cultivating and closing deals
- Proven sales/business development success
- Strong sales skills and product knowledge
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
