Job Summary

Sales Representative for Specialty Retail responsible for maximizing existing accounts and developing new specialty retail customers within a designated territory (Bay Area to South Monterey). Responsibilities include increasing sales with current customers, identifying and nurturing new accounts, presenting plans for growth (ads, demos, spiffs, bill-backs), conducting business planning reviews, securing distributor sales reports, and collaborating with distributors and broker networks. Maintain expert product knowledge, coordinate participation in regional and national food shows, manage samples and sell sheets for distributors, and drive product placements and promotional activities. Requires strong communication and interpersonal skills, proactive strategic thinking, travel up to 75%, and a track record of sales success in the specialty food sector.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in business or related field
  • 3+ years of experience in sales
  • Existing relationships within the specialty food sales field in the region
  • Track record of success in identifying, cultivating and closing deals
  • Proven sales/business development success
