Job Summary
Generate business through daily traffic and outside sources while assisting guests in selecting vehicles and explaining product performance. Close sales by overcoming objections and negotiating price, then write complete sales orders and process paperwork in accordance with dealership policies. Maintain an owner follow-up system and prospect development system to encourage repeat business, while keeping abreast of new products and features. Follow up with Finance to finalize paperwork and introduce guests to service operations. Achieve sales and guest satisfaction objectives set by management. Perform other administrative duties as assigned and maintain high ethical standards and professional appearance.
Required Qualifications
- A high school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of one (1) year sales experience
- Knowledge of vehicle leasing principles
- Basic mathematical concepts (such as adding, subtracting, dividing, multiplying and percentages)
- Equity values and depreciation
- Laws that govern retain automotive sales
- Ability to coordinate activities with other employees
- Read and comprehend instructions and information in the English language
- Learn and understand the federal, state, and local laws which govern retail auto sales
- Use good judgment in challenging situations
- Pay attention to detail
- Follow-up with guests and employees
- Work well with the public
- Communicate in a professional manner on the phone, internet and in person
- Use standard office equipment
- Must have a valid sales driver's license
- Maintain an acceptable driving record
