Job Summary
Agriculture Sales and Market Development Representative for a Washington State territory (Yakima area) working as a 1099 contractor. Core responsibilities include developing and executing a Washington territory work plan, building and expanding dealer/distributor/applicator/consultant/grower relationships, promoting crop protection products (herbicides, fungicides, insecticides, and related products), providing product education and agronomic guidance where licensed, gathering market intelligence, supporting order flow and account development, and representing the company at agricultural meetings and events. Ideal candidate has senior-level ag sales experience, established relationships in Washington, licenses or credentials related to crop protection, and the ability to work independently with field autonomy and strong follow-up, territory management, and customer-development discipline.
Required Qualifications
- Ten+ years of agricultural sales, crop protection, agronomy, crop consulting, or related experience preferred
- Ability to work independently as a 1099 contractor
- Experience with specialty crops, row crops, tree fruit, potatoes, onions, grapes, hops, berries, wheat, vegetables, or related crop markets
- Pesticide license, applicator license, consultant license, or comparable credential preferred
- Agronomy, CCA, PCA preferred
