Sales Representative

Sell welding equipment, materials, and supplies to customers using technical knowledge, advising, and trouble-shooting problems. Develop maximum sales potential out of assigned territory through competitive sales techniques and knowledge of the company products and services as well as the competitive strengths/weaknesses. Work with Purchasing Department to maintain appropriate inventory levels and reduce dead inventory levels. Manage customer accounts to include orders, DSO, and disputes as they arise. Maintain target list making cold calls to potential and current customers. Responsible for price auditing and growing profit margin for customers through contracts and ERP Software. Perform asset/cylinder tracking audits as found necessary or requested by customers. Create quotes, maintain customer files, and coordinate account maintenance. Maintain CRM and/or scorecard metrics to increase market share. Stay abreast of market conditions regarding products, product updates, service offerings, and new technologies through available resources. Provide training to customers and their employees. May include product demonstrations and presentations. Follow and execute the Track Selling Process utilizing the Value Proposition Tool. Serve as backup for counter sales, to include answering phones when needed. Perform other job duties as assigned. Work to ensure the most efficient delivery of products to customers.
