Job Summary
Sales Representative needed to deliver revenue growth within an assigned territory by building complex relationships with retail partners, negotiating within company guidelines, forecasting revenue, and coordinating with cross-functional teams (Inside Sales, Regional VP, and peers) to achieve sales strategy goals. The role includes identifying and contacting prospective customers, supporting a Key Account with monthly weekend selling to drive Flexsteel brand preference, assisting with receivables collection, and ensuring high levels of customer responsiveness through collaboration with Customer Care. Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree in Sales or Marketing (or an equivalent mix of education and experience), significant relevant experience, and strong communication/interpersonal skills; travel may be required. Proficiency in Microsoft Office is expected, and prior furniture-industry sales experience is preferred.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree field of Sales or Marketing, or an acceptable combination of education and experience
- Significant level of relevant work experience required
- 5 years of furniture industry specific experience preferred
- Experience as a sales representative and other sales support function desirable
- Experience in strategy, management/budget holding, product, beneficial
- Significant travel may be required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills required
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of products
