Job Summary
Sells new and used lawn and garden equipment and utility tractors to customers through internal and external sales calls. Creates, develops, and maintains customer accounts, including business-to-business and business-to-customer relationships. Maintains current product knowledge on features and benefits of all saleable equipment, with an emphasis on utility tractors, implements, attachments, and lawn and garden products. Coordinates with location personnel in display and sale of equipment, helps organize product demonstrations and clinics, and participates in local trade shows and promotional events. Maintains and reports customer activities and trends in the assigned territory to sales management. Understands various financing options available on equipment. Requires a valid driver's license with an insurable record, ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays, and adherence to all safety rules and regulations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent work experience
- 1+ years equipment sales experience
- Ability to sell in a fast-paced sales environment
- Knowledge of lawn and garden and utility tractor products
- Excellent customer relationship skills
- Ability to speak and write effectively one-on-one and within a group
- Ability to use standard desktop load applications such as Microsoft Office and internet functions
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Valid driver's license with an insurable driving record required
- Must pass a pre-employment background study
- Ability to work flexible hours including Saturdays
