Job Summary
Ohio-based K-12 IT Sales Representative who bridges the digital divide for Ohio schools by guiding Superintendents and IT Directors through the E-Rate process while selling VTG’s MSP networking, infrastructure, and security solutions. Responsibilities include high-volume outbound prospecting, needs assessments, tailored proposals, compelling presentations, negotiation and closing of deals, and management of Form 470/486 invoicing and related E-Rate activities to ensure CIPA compliance and timely service delivery. Requires knowledge of education vertical, SLED sales experience, networking basics, and strong communication/negotiation skills; travel 10-25%; full-time; remote work within the Greater Ohio region.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, Marketing, Communications, or related field (or equivalent professional experience)
- 3+ years of B2B sales experience
- Experience selling into SLED (State, Local, and Education) market
- Territory expertise in Ohio K-12 school district ecosystem
- Technical literacy in networking infrastructure and basic cybersecurity
- High-activity comfort with defined activity expectations
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- CRM proficiency (e.g., Salesforce)
