Job Summary

This role is responsible for driving new business opportunities by leveraging existing manufacturing capabilities focusing on injection molding, thermoforming, and small sub-assembly assets. The Sales Representative will actively search for potential business opportunities, develop and maintain relationships with retail partners and potential customers, and lead sales cycles from contact to project hand-off, ensuring alignment with operational capabilities. Candidates should have experience in the manufacturing sector, strong strategic thinking skills, and a proactive attitude to generate leads.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or engineering-related field preferred
  • 5+ years of experience in sales or business development
  • Understanding of injection molding or plastics manufacturing is preferred
  • Understanding of manufacturing process capabilities, specifically injection molding

Desired Qualifications

  • Strong understanding of SMG's product lineup and manufacturing processes, particularly injection molding
  • Experience in sales, business development, or a related role within the manufacturing sector
  • Understanding of retailer partnerships
  • Strong communication skills to present complex information clearly
  • Proven ability to identify and analyze new business opportunities
