Job Summary
Create new and maintain existing commercial fencing accounts for wholesale and retail customers using company tools and CRM systems. Perform precise take-offs to deliver bids, proposals, and budgets, then review costs with the Vice President to ensure minimum gross profit guidelines are met. Draft and submit proposals via the CRM, update the system throughout the sales process, and conduct hand-off meetings with operations to support project completion. Maintain professional customer relationships and appearances while managing difficult situations and soliciting feedback. Travel within the assigned territory Monday through Friday, with occasional weekend work as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Five or more years of experience in commercial fencing sales
- Five or more years as an account manager or equivalent with similar responsibilities
- General knowledge of fencing to include vinyl, metal, and wood
- Must hold a valid and active Driver's License
- Must be able to pass background and drug screen checks
- Good communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to work independently and as a member of a team
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Ability to deal effectively and respectfully with a diversity of individuals at all organizational levels
- Exhibits good judgement with the ability to make timely and sound decisions, while able to support and explain reasoning for decisions
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work within constantly changing priorities with enthusiasm
- Ability to adapt to constantly changing environments
- Ability to lift 50 pounds without assistance
- Ability to work in hot environments during all seasons
- Ability to use a tape measure
- Most travel will be Monday through Friday within assigned territory
- There may be occasional travel required over the weekends as work requires
