Job Summary
Outside Sales Representative for construction supply in San Jose, CA. Build and manage a sales pipeline to meet or exceed targets; develop new business through cold calling, networking, and community outreach; manage and grow customer accounts while proactively resolving issues; coordinate deliveries and ensure exceptional follow-through; present tailored, solution-driven proposals aligned with customer needs; stay informed on product offerings, market trends, and industry developments; spend significant time in the field strengthening customer relationships. Requires 1+ years of sales or business development experience (construction/industrial supply preferred), valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally. Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or related field is preferred but not required. Bilingual English/Spanish a plus. The role operates Monday–Friday with a base salary of $75,000–$100,000 plus uncapped commission. All offers are contingent upon a successful background check.
Required Qualifications
- 1+ years of sales or business development experience (construction or industrial supply preferred)
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Mechanically inclined with knowledge of tools, fasteners, or jobsite supplies
- Established industry network or strong ability to build one
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills (Bilingual English/Spanish a plus)
- Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and solution-driven
- Ability to lift 50 lbs regularly and up to 100 lbs occasionally
