Job Summary
Outside sales role promoting Sysco products and services within NY Territory (Elmira, Penn Yan, Watkins Glen). Develop new business, penetrate existing accounts, and minimize lost business to achieve profitable growth. Build relationships with customers, research their needs, recommend products and services, provide product information and practical training to customer personnel, and manage deliveries and accounts receivable as part of the sales process. Role involves travel to customer accounts and events, participation in trainings, and collaboration with internal teams to meet sales and profit goals. Strong emphasis on relationship-building, product knowledge, market awareness, competitive insights, and effective communication to drive sales growth and customer satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED and 3 years Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent relatable experience including completion of the Sysco Sales Internship
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards
- Current automobile insurance with Bodily injury - $100,000 each person and $300,000 each accident; property damage - $100,000 is required
