Job Summary
Outside sales role based in Royal Oak, MI, focused on developing new business and growing existing accounts within the Sysco sales territory. Responsibilities include penetrating accounts, researching customer needs, recommending a mix of products and services to meet business goals, staying informed on market conditions and competitors, providing product information and training to customers, coordinating deliveries and accounts receivable processes, and participating in trainings and meetings. The role requires travel up to 25% and may involve non-traditional hours to meet customer needs. Key skills include relationship-building, negotiation, communication, industry knowledge in foodservice/restaurants, product and market awareness, and the ability to work independently within a territory.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Sales, Marketing, Hospitality, Culinary Arts or related discipline OR HSD/GED and 3 years Restaurant Management, B2B or outside sales experience, or equivalent relatable experience including completion of the Sysco Sales Internship.
- Valid driver’s license with a driving record that meets company insurability standards.
