Job Summary

Manage aggregate sales in the West Texas bid market, including TXDOT, commercial, and private residential projects. Establish relationships with current and prospective customers to assist them in material selection while administering quotations, order entry, and sales reports. Collaborate with sales audit personnel on invoicing, credit, and month-end reporting, ensuring product availability through distribution channel coordination. Develop market strategies with the Sales Manager to maximize penetration and pricing efficiency. Forecast data and reports for the Area/District Sales Manager while maintaining compliance with DOT, FRA, and safety regulations. Travel to jobsites and customer locations, including early mornings, late afternoons, and Saturdays as needed.

  • Work with operations staff regarding inventory, production, etc.

  • Compliance with the Company's Safe Driver Policy
  • Adhere to safety regulations (state, federal, company, and MSHA) while on site
  • Position may require various periods of work in all weather conditions: heat, cold, wet, or dry
  • On occasions, there may be exposure to dust, sand, gravel, diesel exhaust, etc.
  • Position may require working early mornings or late afternoons
  • Traveling for training or entertainment
  • Saturdays as needed

Desired Qualifications

  • Associates or Bachelor's degree in business, construction management or related discipline
  • 1+ years of aggregate sales
  • Solid knowledge of construction materials and their application/use and specifications
  • Experience with Customer Relation Management (CRM) software
  • Experience working with Department of Transportation DOT and the Federal Railroad Administration
