Job Summary
Greet customers, answer phone inquiries, and recommend supplies including welding machines, gases, and safety equipment. Process sales orders, quotes, returns, and exchanges while maintaining accurate cash drawer balances. Unload trucks with a forklift, receive products, inspect for accuracy, and update inventory systems. Perform cycle counts, assist with merchandising, and manage back-orders or vendor returns. This full-time role in Gallup, NM includes rotational Saturdays and requires lifting up to 50 pounds. The employer offers medical, dental, vision, paid time off, and 401K/profit sharing. Candidates must pass a drug screening and possess strong product knowledge of industrial gases and safety equipment.
Required Qualifications
- High School or equivalent
- Must be able to lift and/or carry up to 50 pounds
- Must be able to climb stairs
- Must have adequate visual acuity, including near and far vision and depth perception
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States (or applicable country of employment) at the time of hire
- Must successfully pass a pre-employment drug screening
Desired Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience in customer service, retail sales, or warehouse/receiving operations
- Knowledge of welding supplies, industrial gases, and safety equipment
- Experience with inventory systems or point of sale
- Experience with forklift
