Job Summary
Sales Professional inside sales role responsible for lead generation, presenting to families served, and selling pre-need cemetery arrangements. Acts as Family Service Counselor by building relationships with families, addressing their needs with empathetic, professional service, collaborating with funeral directors and staff to provide seamless support, and generating revenue through referrals and pre-planning education. Requires strong prospecting, presentation, and relationship-building skills, ability to work evenings/weekends, and capability to obtain an insurance license if required by state.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 1-2 years of college or an equivalent of education and experience
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales industry experience preferred
- Current state/province issued driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
- Insurance license if required by state/province law and as prescribed by each state board
- Ability to pass the Company’s internal presentation certification within thirty days of hire
- Ability to work a number of evenings and or weekends every month
- Ability to drive frequently
- Knowledge of computers and some software
- Empathy and respect in customer interactions
- Excellent communication and active listening skills
- Proven ability to build trust-based relationships and generate referrals
