Job Summary
Connect with families through listening, honest communication, and genuine concern to sell cemetery property, pre-need funeral arrangements, and customized special goods. Present electronic presentations explaining services and property options, then drive the company vehicle to show available plots or niches. Enter selections into electronic contracts, obtain signatures, and secure life insurance policies or payment plans. Follow up on arrangements, resolve concerns, and greet immediate families while attending visitations and services. Softly obtain warm leads from guests and place outgoing calls to establish initial contact and schedule formal appointments. Maintain leads in SalesForce.com, confirm appointments 24 hours prior, and monitor progress to achieve a 4 to 1 close rate. Bilingual in Spanish and English, you must hold a current driver's license and Life Insurance License. Work nights, weekends, and overtime as needed.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- Current state issued driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Life Insurance License
- At least 1 year customer service or direct sales work experience
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Professional verbal communication skills
- Willingness to work in the death industry
- Must have a positive attitude
- Highly self-motivated
- Cognitive ability including reasoning, planning, identify problems, comprehend ideas, learn quickly, learn from experience, and appropriately apply learning to new situations
- Process and results oriented
- Ability to comply with company policies including but not limited to punctuality/attendance, workplace safety, and project a favorable image of the company
- Available to work nights, weekends, and overtime
- Must be able to pass the Company's internal presentation certification within thirty days of employment
Desired Qualifications
- College coursework at the sophomore level
- In lieu of college courses, an additional two years of directly related work experience in business administration, sales, or marketing
