Job Summary
Maintain weekly, monthly, and annual sales quotas while advising customers on home furnishings quality, style, and value. Verify prices, calculate discounts, and ensure accurate sales write-ups. Set up advertising displays, stock sales areas, and manage pick-ups with customer signatures. Resolve delivery complaints, handle inquiries via phone or in-person, and conduct telemarketing prospecting calls. Update CRM and customer records, process documentation, and adhere to display and customer service standards. Perform moderate physical tasks including lifting and cleaning sales floors.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- six months experience in practical retail sells
- any combination of training, experience and education which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities for this position
- ability to review, categorize, prioritize, and/or analyze data
- ability to provide guidance, assistance, and/or interpretation to others regarding the application of procedures and standards to specific situations
- ability to operate equipment, machinery, tools, and/or materials requiring complex and rapid adjustments
- ability to utilize a wide variety of reference and/or descriptive data and information
- ability to perform addition, subtraction, multiplication, and division
- ability to calculate decimals and percentages
- ability to utilize principles of fractions
- ability to interpret graphs
- ability to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagrammatic form
- ability to exercise judgment, decisiveness and creativity in situations involving a variety of predefined duties which are often characterized by frequent change
- ability to exert moderate physical effort
- ability to climb and balance
