Job Summary
Greet and acknowledge all customers in a prompt, friendly manner while handling merchandise with care. Provide information, assistance, and direction to customers, demonstrating products and identifying their needs to make product recommendations. Replenish product on shelves, restock merchandise, and assist with seasonal floor moves per guidelines. Maintain pricing and signing, keep work areas clean and well-stocked, and operate the computerized Point of Sale register system. Follow all company policies and procedures to ensure a pleasant shopping experience. Part-time schedule with discounts on retail merchandise and restaurants available.
Required Qualifications
- High School education or equivalent experience
- Ability to calculate figures such as discounts and make change to customers
- Ability to communicate in a friendly and professional manner to our customers and other associates
- Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with Management, coworkers and customers
- Ability to operate computerized Point of Sale register system
- Must be able to constantly stand and/or walk during shift
- Must be able to occasionally ascend or descend ladders, stairs, ramps, etc.
- Must be able to constantly communicate with others to exchange information
- Must be able to occasionally repeat motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers
- Must be able to occasionally operate machinery and/or power tools
- Must be able to occasionally operate motor vehicles or heavy equipment
- Must be able to light work that includes moving objects up to 20 pounds constantly
- Must be able to occasionally move and lift objects up to 100 pounds or more (utilizing a team lift as needed)
- Must be able to occasionally work in tight and confined spaces
- Must be able to occasionally work in noisy environments
- Must be able to perform tasks and duties under general supervision, using established procedures and innovation
- Must be able to choose from limited alternatives to resolve problems
- Must be able to make recommendations to work procedures, policies, and practices
