Job Summary
Sales Outfitter - Firearms, part-time role at Bass Pro Shops in Manteca, CA. Responsible for counter sales and customer service for firearms and hunting merchandise, greeting and assisting customers, handling merchandise with care, and providing product information. Identify customer needs, make recommendations, promote programs (including CLUB membership, VOC, and in-store pickup), ensure 4473 forms are completed accurately, maintain firearm product knowledge, and keep the sales floor organized and well stocked. Requires knowledge of ATF regulations (GCA) and compliance with store policies; physical duties include standing/walking, occasional lifting, ladder use, and operating equipment as needed. Starting pay range $18.00–$20.75 hourly; part-time benefits include dental, vision, 401k, holidays and paid vacation.
Required Qualifications
- Minimum Degree Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
- Experience: 0-2 years of experience in Retail
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Knowledge, Skills, and Ability: Knowledge of Firearms and Ammunition
- Knowledge of ATF Federal and State Regulations
- Customer Service and Sales of Firearms and Ammunition
- GCA (Gun Control Act) knowledge
- Merchandising and Stocking
- TRAVEL REQUIREMENTS: N/A
- PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: Constantly stand and/or walk; occasionally climb ladders; frequent communication; occasional lifting up to 100 pounds with team lift; work in noisy environments
- Starting Pay Rate: $18.00 - $20.75 per hour
