Sales Operations Specialist

Job Summary
Create, update, and process quotations, sales order confirmations, and price lists while verifying product drawings and populating new product code setup sheets. Respond to external customer inquiries regarding products, service, and delivery, then liaise with team members to resolve issues and ensure on-time commitments. Collaborate with the sales team to manage customer accounts, maintain CRM data, and prioritize workflow improvements. Document purchase orders, enter sales confirmations per SOPs, and verify part numbers and accuracy. Maintain positive interactions through regular follow-ups and proactive measures to ensure smooth order processes. Complete assigned projects, adhere to health and safety policies, and fulfill general administrative duties.
Required Qualifications
- 2 + years' progressive work experience in an inside sales/ customer support and/or order specialist type role with a proven track record of success
- strong understanding of transactional business processes in a distribution environment
- Fluency in English with highly effective and clear communication, written and oral skills
- fairly advanced Excel skills for handling large amounts of data
- High attention to detail and accuracy, coupled with strong aptitude with numerical data/ math skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to establish rapport with customers and colleagues
- Excellent time management and organization skills, with proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in an environment of shifting priorities
- Strong customer service orientation
- Comfortable using various software and technology to complete the work efficiently, including all MS Office 365 Products

Desired Qualifications
- Relevant industry experience (Millwork/ Lumber, etc.)
- Relevant post-secondary education (Supply Chain ideal)
- Hands-on experience with Epicor BisTrack or related ERP system
- Strong business acumen
- Fluency in additional languages (oral and written) a definite asset
