Job Summary
Sales Operations Manager responsible for commercial operational leadership, bridging sales, customer service, technical sales and production. Focus on strategic management of the existing client portfolio, margin optimization, customer satisfaction and setting commercial priorities within a complex production environment. Includes an export sales component and close collaboration with export sales managers in an international context. Represents the plant’s commercial interests within Hydro and reports to the Sales Director. Key duties include monitoring and optimizing margins and profitability, analyzing loss-making customers and implementing price adjustments, evaluating order book and customer mix, maintaining customer relationships, supporting desk and technical sales teams, coordinating with production, quality and planning, and driving continuous improvements. Strong emphasis on people management, cross-functional collaboration, and a proactive, pragmatic approach.
Required Qualifications
- Experience in a commercial, operational or customer service management role in an industrial environment
- Experience within an international or export-oriented context is a plus
- Strong analytical insight and experience with margin- and profitability management
- People manager with a coaching leadership style
- You dare to take a stand, defend priorities and justify commercial decisions to internal stakeholders
- Stress-resilient with ability to set priorities
- Hands-on mentality and pragmatic approach
