Job Summary
Support accurate, timely, and scalable quoting for commercial opportunities, unreleased products, and new business unit offerings across multiple product lines. Design, develop, and maintain Excel-based quoting tools and automation workflows to improve speed, accuracy, and governance. Implement complex logic and configuration rules for product structures, pricing models, and regional requirements. Collaborate with Product, Engineering, Sales, Finance, IT, and Supply Chain teams to translate requirements into quoting logic and scalable process documentation. Serve as a bridge to enterprise systems like Salesforce CPQ or Oracle CPQ, ensuring logic can be ported into digital configuration tools. Document workflows, tool architecture, and configuration assumptions for future migrations. Provide training, rollout support, and user feedback integration for internal stakeholders. Explore AI-powered features to enhance automation and process efficiency. Report to a Sr Sales Operations Manager in Fremont, CA.
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years' experience
- Master's degree with 3 years' experience
- PhD without experience or equivalent work experience
- Experience building or supporting quoting tools for commercial, unreleased, pre-commercial, or newly integrated BU products
- Strong understanding of data cleansing, normalization, product configuration logic, quoting rules, pricing logic, and workflow governance
- Ability to work in fast-paced dynamic environments with evolving product definitions and short iteration cycles
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to evaluate and incorporate AI tools or frameworks into data analysis or quoting workflows
- Strong time management, organization, and documentation habits

Desired Qualifications
- MBA is preferred or equivalent experience
- Experience and strong orientation toward Analysis and customer services
- Experience in a startup environment as well as global public companies
- Familiarity with CPQ platforms (Salesforce CPQ, Oracle CPQ, or similar)
- Experience working on web-based quoting or configuration tools
- Exposure to database tools (e.g., SQL, ODBC), API integrations, or cloud-based Excel systems (Office 365, SharePoint)
- Background in hardware, manufacturing, renewable energy, or other configuration-heavy industries
- Experience in the Solar Industry
