Job Summary

Answer all sales phone inquiries accurately and timely, type correspondence, and prepare proposals or letters as directed. Coordinate all group business contracted by the sales manager, providing follow-up on signed contracts within five working days and communicating with departments to ensure client expectations are exceeded. Assist with social media scheduling, caption writing, and content planning for the hotel and Degree Brewpub, while curating and designing graphics for events and advertising campaigns. Maintain well-documented, accurate, and up-to-date file management for clients and employer. Work with sales personnel to achieve required sales team goals and complete monthly sales reports. Conduct walk-in tours, create gift bags for guests and VIPs, and represent the hotel with a service-focused approach.

Required Qualifications

  • High school diploma or vocational secretarial
  • 1–3 years of experience in hotel sales, marketing, or hospitality administration preferred
  • Knowledge of hotel sales systems (Opera, Delphi, Cvent, Passkey, CI/TY, or similar) preferred
  • Strong organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
  • Customer-service focused with a positive, professional demeanor
  • Ability to read contracts and letters
  • Able to use computers
  • Excellent attention to detail and multi-tasking skills
  • Bending/kneeling - repeated bending and kneeling required while filing
  • Mobility - must be able to reach all areas of hotel to assist clients. Occasional standing. Occasional carrying and lifting of files and office items up to 25 lbs.

Desired Qualifications

  • Previous sales, hospitality, and secretarial experience preferred
  • Advanced knowledge/use of Microsoft Word applications: Word, Excel, Publisher and PowerPoint
  • Alphabetizing, grammar and punctuation skills
  • Standard business letter formats
  • Strong editing skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Strong time management and follow-up skills
  • Interest in hospitality sales, marketing, and revenue strategy
  • Creative mindset with basic marketing or social media experience a plus
