Job Summary
Sales Manager for the company’s Value Channel in Retail Grocery, owning and growing key customers across a portfolio of branded and private-label products. Lead development and execution of customer-specific growth strategies, manage forecasting and P&L for assigned accounts, analyze performance data to identify opportunities and risks, build trusted relationships with buying teams, partner cross-functionally with marketing, supply chain, and finance, and drive ROI through effective trade spend. Travel up to 20%, with Nashville as the preferred location. The role requires a CEO mindset, ownership of the business, strong analytical and communication skills, and a track record of achieving metric-driven revenue and profit targets.
Required Qualifications
- 5–10+ years of CPG sales experience, preferably in food
- Proven experience calling on value-oriented retail customers (Dollar General, Family Dollar, Aldi, Lidl, etc.)
- 5-10+ years of experience working with retail customers required
- Strong P&L management and financial acumen
- Experience with forecasting, planning, and trade management
- Demonstrated ability to sell both externally (customers) and internally (cross-functional stakeholders)
- Private label experience strongly preferred; candidates with deep experience in private brand development and commercialization will stand out
- Experience working with distributors is preferred
- Background in condiments, spices, or adjacent categories is preferred
- Experience with TPM tools, Blacksmith preferred
- Ability to travel 20% required
- Preferred location is Nashville; however, other locations will be considered
