Sales Manager - Trainee

Job Summary
Coach and develop sales staff on prospecting, public speaking, closing, product knowledge, pricing, payment terms, and electronic contracts to ensure monthly revenue goal attainment and conversion ratio. Establish expectations, review sales contracts for compliance, and utilize CRM systems to identify and assign warm leads. Collaborate with marketing on campaign development and create annual sales plans for associates while implementing innovative solutions to improve efficiencies. Screen candidates, hire, promote, and provide feedback to build a strong, trusting team aligned with career aspirations.
Required Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- At least four (4) years' sales experience focusing in outside or inside direct sales to consumers with a proven record of exceeding sales goals and conversion ratio
- Valid state driver's license with an acceptable driving record
- Series 6 or 7 License, current in the operating state, or obtain within six months of employment
- Ability to work with and communicate with remote stakeholders
- Must have a positive attitude, a drive to continually advance your understanding of the industry and business, and is highly self-motivated
- Process and results oriented, motivated to keep projects moving ahead by removing obstacles and exploring alternatives
- Cognitive Ability including reason, plan, solve problems, think abstractly, learn quickly, learn from experience, and appropriately apply learning to new situations
- MS Office Suite skills
- Local and/or multiple location traveling required
- Working beyond 'standard' hours as the need arises
- Work indoors and or outdoors during all seasons and weather conditions
- Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day
- Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
- Climbing stairs to access buildings frequently
- Physical effort requiring manual dexterity is required, includes paperwork, calculators, computers and phone usage
- Lifting, pushing, pulling up to 20 pounds
- Work Postures Frequent, continuous periods of time standing, up 6 hours per day
- Sitting continuously for many hours per day, up to 6 hours per day
- Comply with Field dress code policy
Desired Qualifications
- Associates degree in a related discipline preferred
- Experience and proficient utilizing CRM databases and Saleforce.com preferred
- Experience in Funeral Services industry a plus
