Job Summary
Develop and close new business opportunities across the United States in branded wholesale, foodservice, private label, and co-manufacturing channels. Build a robust pipeline, conduct discovery meetings, prepare proposals, and negotiate commercial agreements to achieve revenue, volume, and profitability objectives. Lead the sales organization by coaching team members, establishing pipeline management standards, and shaping long-term commercial strategy. Collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Production, and Operations to support customer onboarding and resolve commercial issues. Monday through Friday 8am to 5pm with occasional travel; additional hours during month-end or year-end closes. Coffee industry experience preferred.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or G.E.D.
- Five or more years of successful B2B sales experience
- Proven track record of developing and closing new business
- Experience managing complex consultative sales cycles
- Strong communication, presentation, negotiation, and relationship-building skills
- Demonstrated leadership abilities with experience coaching or mentoring others
- Highly organized with excellent time management and CRM discipline
- Monday through Friday 8am until 5pm
- Occasional travel within the metropolitan area may be required
- Exert up to 20 pounds of force occasionally, up to 10 pounds of force frequently, and/or up to 10 pounds of force constantly
- Offers of employment are contingent upon successful completion of a criminal background check and a pre-employment drug screening, which includes testing for marijuana (THC)
Desired Qualifications
- Coffee industry experience
- Experience in food, beverage, ingredient, or consumer packaged goods industries
- Experience selling private label, co-manufacturing, contract manufacturing, or customized manufacturing solutions
- Existing relationships within foodservice, hospitality, grocery, retail, convenience, or national account channels
- Experience selling to regional and national customers
- Knowledge of B2B and consultative sales cycles, including pricing, proposal development, and contract negotiation
- Knowledge of branded wholesale, foodservice, private label, and co-manufacturing markets
- Knowledge of CRM systems and sales pipeline management practices
- Knowledge of food, beverage, or consumer packaged goods industry dynamics
- Ability to identify and pursue emerging markets and customer segments
- Ability to manage a pipeline with strong organizational and time-management discipline
- Ability to collaborate cross-functionally with Marketing, Production, Quality, Purchasing, Customer Service, and Operations
