Sales Manager - Packaging

Job Summary
Oversee profitable sales within a specified region by developing a team of high performers, implementing sales strategies, and managing account management. Conduct regular sales meetings, trainings, and pipeline reviews while setting performance objectives and holding team members accountable. Identify customer needs, present organizational solutions, and represent the company at sector events to enhance the brand. Manage team assets, budget execution, and ensure up-to-date CRM data through collaboration with the Credit Manager. Maintain deep knowledge of policies and procedures to ensure adherence to standards. This role requires 30% travel and experience managing 5-10 direct reports within the packaging or facility solutions industry.
Required Qualifications
- Must have strong leadership and management skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects, work under pressure and adapt to sudden changes in the work environment
- Excellent verbal, written, people and diplomacy skills required
- Good interpersonal and conflict management skills required
- 30% travel required
- Experience managing a team of 5-10 direct reports
- 1-3 years of related experience of successful supervisory/management experience required to motivate and develop direct reports, as well as size up new talent
- 3-5 years of related job experience
- Bachelor's Degree
- A significant portion of the job responsibilities will require computer work that involves the continuous use of the fingers, hands, wrists, and sitting for long periods of time
- The position also requires frequent lifting and/or moving up to 10 pounds
Desired Qualifications
- Experience and knowledge in in Packaging, Facility Solutions or similar industry is preferred
- Territory sales or account management experience preferred
- Strong understanding or experience from a large, national or decentralized distribution organization preferred
- Experience with Salesforce.com or other CRM is preferred
